At our meeting this morning we had a couple of finished items.

2 Woolly Hat Designer • Knit Innovator patterns from her book Short Row Colorwork Knitting done by Sue ( not on social media) and a beautiful lightweight beefed shawl.

I apologise for the shawl photo from Jenny’s garden but there was no where to show it off where we were

Jenny doesn’t wear shawls so it’s going in her gifting box. Very lucky person to get this! I did suggest I could be her friend 😂

Gosh the weather has changed so I’ve popped in some thinker yarns that need to find new homes

As always 20% off anything in this tray & free postage if you spend over £25
The re:treat & the Mode alpaca wool have same dye lots if that helps.

So where am I
Sat in a man’s world
Sexist? Well yes cos I’m the only female in a smelly garage. The smell is a garage smell
It’s all tyres, cars , locking nuts, alloy wheels car ramp talk .
Last Thursday several people told me I had a flat tyre, 1 flat tyre. RAC/Mercedes man very helpful & even drove it around to a garage
Said garage came back after looking at it saying 3 tyres had punctures & one had a crack in the alloy . WTA ! Probably all the potholes!
Unsafe to drive , bu**er!
Someone else looked at it over the weekend said it was ok……

That’s the reason I’m now breathing oil and stuff. flipping wonderful

Update : 1 tyre with puncture plus cracked alloy
1 tyre with a screw in it so puncture. Now mended

Have to go back tomorrow for welding on alloy crack & new tyre 😂
Other 2 tyres are ok.

Today’s job in the studio

We had quite a lot of buttons so I’m trying to sort them and find a place to put them.

At the moment I can find space but not all together which wouldn’t be useful for finding

I have a feeling I’m going to have to do some rearranging! And there are more than in the pictures 🙈

Another strange interest for me this year was starting to photograph moths & butterflies that were using my house as a stop off
It started with one of those sitting on a pink towel. 1 became 5 and they lived in my bathroom for months. Occasionally they popped into the hall!?
I was told they were Meal moths but looking that up suggests they weren’t.
Can you name all the others?
Found out most of the names & there is one photo of one of many dragonflies & damselflies that I get in my garden
Have you had this years ubiquitous Hummingbird Hawk Moth which have been all over our Salvias
What I haven’t put here are photos of other beasties that have wandered across our house & the year isn’t over yet

I thought I’d spend some time just knitting, something I didn’t get time to do when I had the shop

I spent some time I un-wangling the numerous ends of mohair, reading the pattern to check what was next, and I got 3/4trs through my first row when I noticed a pair of soulful brown eyes looking at me next to my legs.

I should have ignored her, I should not have given a few strokes and spoken to her, I should know better.

Went to pick up my knitting and with a quick leap she squished herself next to me. She like to be hugged hard so that was knitting over!

And yes mini moo thought that was her cue to take a flying leap & stuck herself between her & me

So knitting is over 😢
No 3 is being sensible in the window where the sun is
