Its taken me a little while to do this post, but today I feel strong enough to write this.
Last Christmas while everyone was getting ready to celebrate, my family received some devastating news that my oldest brother, Daniel had been taken into hospital. The details are long and upsetting, but to make the story short we were told he had a diabetic episode while at home alone, resulting in him being found unconscious. When Daniel eventually regained consciousness, he just wasn't the same. We were told he had global brain damage and recovery if any would be beyond miniscule and completely unpredictable and the news was a catastrophic blow.
A few weeks ago we started end of life care for Daniel, with each family member and friend taking it in turns to say goodbye to Daniel in their own way, and I must say it was a beautifully traumatic experience and one I shall never forget. Daniel passed away peacefully with his loved ones by his side and now we have to send Daniel on his way with dignity, and this is why I'm writing this post.
Daniel was a very proud man; he would not want a go fund me plastering his story and his face everywhere asking for charity, but we as a family have found it very difficult to raise the funds for a propper funeral instead of a direct funeral with no hearse, service or even a book of service. People are going to make suggestions, and though they're appreciated, we had a limited time to research and book and have done the very best we possibly could for it to be normal and affordable funeral, but Its still going to be a big struggle and I wanted to reach out through this page.
Please, buy a crystal for Daniel. His funeral is on the 13th of December and I'm hoping to raise as much as possible through the sale of my crystals, so its not charity, in order to help pay for Daniels funeral, and I'm asking you please to like and share the post, and if you can afford to, please buy a crystal for Daniel.
I'll still customise it any way you'd like, but because its so important and we have to raise so much at a time when every penny counts, each crystal is temporarily £10- big or small, plus postage if needed. Collection available. Due to my own bad health at this time aswell, I'm afraid I can't do personal deliveries, I'm sorry.
I'm also trying to find anyone who can do me a canvas to go with the hearse, either out of the kindness of their heart or on a payment plan.
Me and my sister both always had the idea of his nickname 'DanielSon' in flowers next to his coffin, but we have realised how expensive this is and wondered if their were any graffiti artists who can do this on a canvas to go on the coffin.
