The things I imagine you'll notice when you visit the field... versus what you actually notice.
I think you'll see the weeds. You see the flowers.
I think you'll clock the empty bit of bed where the sweet peas have finished. You don't even register it.
I think the wonky rows bother you. Turns out they're part of why people love a real cut flower farm over something too perfect.
Honestly, I spend most of my time out there seeing jobs β what needs weeding, staking, sowing, cutting back, the bits that haven't worked out quite the way I wanted them to. You just see a field full of flowers grown gently, following the season. I'm working on seeing it your way more often, I'm forever having a word with myself!
