🛎️ TRADER SPOTLIGHT 🛎️

There’s a week and a half to go until September Oddities, and we have another trader to showcase today; J Tries To Draw!

We love the unique and colourful nature of their work and we can’t wait to see it in person at this upcoming market! Of course, we also love when artists outwardly display their hatred of AI, like we do!

“I am an illustrator and creative based in
Devon. My work tends to focus on themes of comfort and aquatic life, although when experimenting with mixed media I am happy to explore many topics. My visual
language aims to be tactile to encourage engagement and celebrate humanity in creativity, especially during the age of AI.

I love to make stickers and zines and can’t wait to trade these with everyone in September 🙂

Announcing the final socials of 2026! Join us at Sappho's Cafe & Community Space to craft, drink matcha and meet new folks

- 🧶 Sept 26th we're inviting back our crochet experts to host an autumnal crochet session - if you'd like to volunteer, get in touch!
- 🕸️ Oct 24th we are hosting a spoooOOooooky quiz
- ✍️ Nov 28th join us as we will be aggressively sipping on our coffees and tackling submitting our dreaded Self Assessment tax returns in an early timely manner (though remember you must tell HMRC by 5 October if you need to complete a tax return for tax year 2025-2026). We also invite those who have been procrastinating their deedpoll name changes to do it all together!
- ✨ Dec 19th come and create visionboard posters and zines with us of what we all want from our 2027

First up, we have Mermaid Trader. They bring all of the whimsy, and all of the nostalgic vibes with their fun array of products, and do you know what we love most? Everything is made by them!

This month, we have the lovely Jaz, owner of Jazy Jemz, with us to provide you a new sparkly confidence booster! 💎🤩

We love being able to offer different things to do at the market, and so having Jaz join us this month was a no brainer!
