Tawny owl skull, I had one before that I named Bramble but I didn't know how to clean skulls then and I followed the "bury it and wait advice"...which doesn't work for bird skulls especially in acidic soil

When I dug her up 6 months later there was only the beak left, I've got better at cleaning bird skulls since then but I've got no idea how to clean the sclerotic rings (eyes)-I'm guessing a lot of patience will be involved

Wood sorrel, also know as fairy bells or wood sour is often confused with clover because of the similarly shaped leaves...it grows mainly in shaded woodland and if you catch it at the right time you'll see it's delicate white flowers.

In the past, it was used to help scurvy as it's very high in vitamin c, if you do plan on eating some, apparently the stems are much less sour than the leaves!
