Cornwall Council Historic Environment Planning department said our design "respects the building's significance, meets local policy objectives, and supports it's continued community use".

Proof that with the right team and don't have to be difficult.

A lovely evening last week at  with Jabo Butera and the wonderful folk attending PCC's Climate Mingle, talking about our circular approach on the Jabulani extension. I got a real lift from the positive feedback – it’s so encouraging to feel that we’re on the right track and part of a collective effort to take action. So many options when choosing materials and finishes! Functionality, cost, and aesthetic are obviously key factors, but how do we also navigate to choose sustainably?

Our starting point is always to specify with minimal environmental impact and maximum social value.
With materials, this might include natural materials, reclaimed or recycled content, repurposing..... and even sometimes choosing to nothing! Whatever the decision, we look for added ways that material choice and application can help connect a space to the building user, adding value that's hard to measure but clear to see.
