On 5th July 2023 the NHS celebrates its 75th Birthday. I've signed up to NHS 75 for 75, to be one of 1,000 to each raise £75 over the course of a year for my local NHS.
I have always had an interest in wildlife. When I was six, I remember witnessing a woodlouse, give birth in the playground of my Primary School. My only thought was how amazing it was that they were so small and pale, and to fend off the ants that seem to have a keen interest.
However, an incident when I was nine involving a hord of flies living in our holiday caravan walls, left me afraid of going near insects ever again.
When I heard of the 75 for 75 challenge, I knew this would be an amazing opportunity to go back to my childhood and try to find the wonder in bugs again and combine it with my love for photography. So- my goal is to photograph and record 75 different British insects, bugs and other creepy crawlies.
All funds raised are for Plymouth Hospitals Charity, the official NHS Charity for Plymouth.
