Happy Spring Equinox 🌼 Today I’m launching my collection of postcards from my ā€˜Woman’ series along with a cheeky one of my recent artwork ā€˜A quiet accumulation’. The three images portray the feminine body as a living landscape—both a vessel and expression of nature—suggesting that identity, perception, and inner life are deeply intertwined with the natural world that exists within us and shapes who we are. Ā£2.50 each, they can be purchased on my Etsy shop or delivered/collected locally. ā˜€ļø

Introducing my newest artwork that debuted at Toes in the Water Art event yesterday. It’s called ā€˜A quiet accumulation’
It presents a clear plastic female torso containing organs shaped and filled with plastic waste collected from the beaches in Devon. By mimicking the anatomy of the human body, the piece makes visible the invisible: microplastics that now circulate through our blood, lodge in our organs, and alter our biology. The opaque form invites viewers to look inside themselves and confront their connection to ocean pollution. The work serves as both a warning and a reflection, highlighting the fragile boundary between the environment and the body, and questioning how much contamination we can absorb before irreversible harm occurs. šŸ’™

I made a new piece of art for the Toes in the Water Art event yesterday.

ā€œCastā€ is an exploration of ocean plastic and the lasting imprint of human consumption. This handwoven working tapestry of discarded fishing netting, incorporates beach plastic, and delicate glass baubles, which echo the fragile nature of marine ecosystems. The intricate knots in the piece speak of the fisherman’s painstaking labor, while the bubbles of plastic and shimmering glass highlight the beauty and tragedy of materials discarded into the sea. Through this work, Cast tells a story of both loss and resilience, urging viewers to reflect on the environmental cost of our actions and the urgent need to reclaim our oceans. 🌊

Hope everyone is enjoying the festive period so far? I’ve been very fortunate to have a huge order of baubles from a lovely company in Southampton who will be gifting them to their staff. I now only have 5 baubles left if anyone wants to get any before Christmas. I also have sea plastic pictures and bauble artwork that I can deliver locally. šŸ’š
