Charity Antiques Valuation Day to Support the Mayor’s Chosen Charities

A special Charity Antiques Valuation Day will take place at The Corn Exchange, Wareham, on Thursday 23rd October, in support of the Mayor’s chosen charities – the Wareham Rangers Youth Team and the Guide & Scouting Movements. The event will run from 10.00am to 12.00pm, and members of the public are warmly invited to attend. Antiques Specialist Max Beaumont of Max Beaumont Fine Art & Consultancy in Poole, will be available throughout the morning to provide professional valuations and share his expertise on a wide variety of items, including jewellery, silver, ceramics, paintings, sculpture, and collectables. Those with larger pieces, such as furniture, are encouraged to bring clear photographs for assessment.

🎉 What a fantastic day at our Antiques Valuation Event! 🕰️💍🖼️

We’re thrilled to share that we raised £160 for Ferndown Dementia Friendly Town 💜 – thank you to everyone who came along and supported this great cause!

The event was full of fascinating finds, from beautiful paintings and ceramics to delicate hand-embroidered shawls and sparkling jewellery ✨👒🎨.

A huge thank you to Barchester’s Parley Place for so kindly hosting us – your support made the day extra special. 🏡💐

We’re already looking forward to coming back soon! 😊

A great morning had at the second charity antiques valuation day in raising money for Age UK North, South & West Dorset. A consistent stream of people bringing along their treasures for assessment that saw a few hidden surprises along the way! One of my favourite items was a Japanese bronze articulated crab, dating to the Meiji period (c.1890). The owner was surprised to learn of its £400/600 value. We look forward to returning to Poundbury on the 5th November for another charity valuation day.

A big thank you to the team at HK Law and Age UK North, South and West Dorset for all your support. Also, a special shout out to Fran Leaper at Poundbury Community Trust for covering the cost of the hall hire at Brownsword Hall.
