It’s not often I make something for myself but I really wanted a little model of my dog, no a model of a dog like mine but my actual dog so I set about making one and this is how it turned out. The picture of my dog, the model I created and what it looked like after my daughter painted it for me, neither of us are much of an artist and it needs another coat but I’m happy that it’s what I was after.
If anyone wants one let me know and I can make one for you ( you’ll have to paint it yourself I’m affraid ) I made mine in white as it’s easier to cover white with paint.

Made some QR code magnets for the heating company that looks after all my needs, great way to advertise your services and can be left on the boiler, fridge or any metal surface, much better than a sticker or a card that will get lost or damaged and are not that expensive. These are cool little owl lights, they measure 20cm by 12.5cm, look like a sculptured body of an owl and then at night when you turn it on the light becomes the wings and tail, they have a built in switch in the top a set of LED lights inside and run from a 12v 23a battery which is replaceable ( can be purchased on Amazon for less than 50p each ) no wires to worry about just hang it on the wall and switch it on when it gets dark.

Another custom order today, this is exactly the sort of thing I love, these are shrouds for LED lights to stop them shining in the wrong direction all done from measurements supplied by the customer for that custom fit

Following on from my pen cutting jig I was asked to make a custom one this week for making Celtic knots, this allows you to cut the blank at a perfect length and 45 degrees every time ensuring the inlay lines up perfectly

This is a handy little tool, it allows you to cut the perfect length of blank for making pens, keyrings, magnifying glasses anything that uses a tube core, the excess over the length of the tube can be set by adjusting the little block nearest the blade, in 1 picture it’s set for 2mm and in the next just over 3mm excess, then all you need to do is set the tube in the back and lock the stop off and you’ll get a perfect length square cut every time. There’s a video of it in use in the comments.
Both videos show it being used with approximately 3mm of excess material to allow for a chip out etc when drilling but this can be tuned from zero to as much as you want it to be. Also bear in mind I’m trying to do it one handed whilst filming! It’s much easier with both hands 😁
