"Hello, it's me"
I've been absent from social media for quite a while, so will be using the Fiberuary Challenge to get reacquainted with you lovely fibre folks, but I'm still me and starting late is woven into my existence.
I'm Jen. I'm a UK based dyer and spinner, a crocheter and knitter, and general ADHD crafter. More on that later into the month.
I'm also parent and home educator to an excellent, slightly weird 7 (almost 8 😱) year old.
I get around mostly by bike which sparked an interest in urban development, particularly in the ways infrastructure can make or destroy communities. I'm fascinated by what creates stronger, safer, cleaner, and fairer communities in general.
I love audiobooks and while not usually a fan of the vampire genre, Nancy Warrens 'The Vampire Knitting Club' series is what currently has my attention. It's a great set of cheesy murder mysteries and I'm loving every minute.
Star Trek and Doctor Who are my main fandoms, I'm pretty much always circling through a binge watch of one of them. Friends is my secret shame, I have it on like a radio because its oddly soothing.
I play games on occasion (computer and board) but never seem to forge enough time to play. Except that I've very intentionally just spent the entire weekend on Don't Starve. I died often and in numerous embarrassing ways, the standard Don't Starve experience.
And that's a whole lot of "I" for one post so that'll do for now. It's nice to re-meet you all. Go ahead and say hi, tell us about yourself too 🙂
