Rudy and I passed by his old school this week, which was interesting.
It was really nice to see the majority of the friendly faces on the school run, and we were mostly met with a genuine interest on our recent decision to remove Rudy from school. I, of course, welcome any questions as we are more than happy with our choice and very open to positive discussions.
However, there is always one isn't there...one judgemental being that tries to shower everyone in their presence with their sh*tty negative vibes.
"I mean, how is Rudy going to learn if you are not following a school curriculum?" π€¨
Keeping it lighthearted, I responded with "learning opportunities are literally EVERYWHERE" π
Me and Rudy sped off on our bikes for a 2.5 hour bike ride, leaving the puzzled parent to their own thoughts . En route, we discussed the weather and how different seasons affect the tide, we collected spring flowers and touched on photosynthesis.
We looked at different materials on the beach, discussed matter and atoms, and foraged for treasures. We danced, we sang, and we were home researching the flowers we had found and creating our spring flower pot by lunchtime.
Our day started with a bike ride and an open mind...
That's right, an open mind.
Just saying x
