A recent project completed at St John’s Square in Southsea, part of the former St John’s College site, which is being converted into new houses and apartments close to the seafront.

Inside this 1908 property, we fitted Cottage Berber by Mercado, a textured Berber loop-pile carpet, across six rooms. We also installed Karndean Van Gogh LVT in the kitchen, toilets, sitting room and hallway, giving the busier areas a practical, easy-to-maintain finish.

Last week we wrapped up a two-week work experience placement with a student from Admiral Lord Nelson School.

It was a real pleasure having such a hardworking young lad out with us. Over the two weeks, he got involved with measuring, how estimates are put together, subfloor preparation, setting out materials and the importance of good customer service.
His punctuality, attitude and timekeeping were excellent throughout, and he was keen to learn from day one.

Moving from school into the working world is a big step, so we’re always happy to help where we can. We all started somewhere, and it’s great to give local young people a proper look at what working in the flooring trade involves.

A recent job completed for Portsmouth City Council at a shop unit in The Bridge Centre, Fratton.

For this project, we prepared the floor using Mapei smoothing compound before installing Polysafe Standard PUR commercial vinyl in the colour Twilight, fitted with F. Ball F44 adhesive.

A smart, practical and hard-wearing finish, ideal for a commercial space that needs to cope with regular use.

LVT parquet job completed in Milton, Portsmouth.

For this hallway, kitchen and cloakroom, we fitted Polyflor Camaro in Naked Blond Oak, large parquet.

It’s a really nice choice for these areas of the home — practical, easy to look after and gives a smart wood-effect finish. The lighter oak tone works well through the hallway and kitchen, keeping everything feeling clean and bright.
