AUTUMN SIMMER POT

Apple, orange, cinnamon, cloves and star anise, gently simmered to fill the kitchen with the scent of autumn.

A simple Sunday ritual for slower afternoons at home.

Add everything to a saucepan, bring it to a gentle bubble, then turn the heat right down and let it simmer for 2–4 hours, topping up with water as needed.

Save this one for the colder days ahead.

For home fragrance only, not for drinking. Never leave the pan unattended or allow it to boil dry.

SAVE THIS RECIPE | NUTELLA-STUFFED PUMPKIN DOUGHNUTS

A little autumn project for the kitchen.
Lightly spiced cinnamon dough, shaped into pumpkins, fried until golden, coated in cinnamon sugar and filled with Nutella.

The recipe makes four and takes a little patience while the dough proves, but the result is worth it.

Swipe through for the complete method, from making the dough and shaping the pumpkins to frying, coating and filling.

Makes 4
Serve warm, preferably while the Nutella centre is still soft.

NUTELLA-STUFFED PUMPKIN DOUGHNUTS

Soft cinnamon dough. Fried until deep golden. Rolled generously in cinnamon sugar and filled with Nutella.
Shaped by hand into little pumpkins and finished with a cinnamon-stick stalk, these might be our favourite autumn bake yet.

And, naturally, they were fried in copper.

The Heritage, Excell is now on display at West Dean Wood Stoves.

Visitors to their West Sussex showroom can now see our British-made copper cookware in person, experience its weight and craftsmanship, and explore the collection within a setting built around traditional cooking and the home.

Every pan is manufactured in Portsmouth using specialist metal-spinning techniques, then individually finished to create cookware designed to perform beautifully and last for generations.
