This week we're leading with a classic piece of English antique furniture in the form of an Edwardian desk in mahogany. The desk - cira 1910 - is in kidney bean form which is very comfortable to work at ergonomically. Around the leather covered work space are drawers and cubby holes making this great for a work from home set up. Winston Churchill bust displayed above not included but available. Meiji Era Japanese Carved Desk Circa 1890 - Explainer Video With Narration

This magnificent desk dates from Japan's Meiji period, a golden age of Japanese craftsmanship when master artisans created extraordinary pieces for export to Europe and America. The main feature is the incredible carving including the amazing dragon motifs. Unlike Western dragons, which are often portrayed as fearsome creatures, Japanese dragons are symbols of wisdom, strength, good fortune and protection. They are closely associated with water, rainfall and the forces of nature and hence were believed to bring prosperity and success.
