Miso Pulled Pork Tagliatelle 🍝✨
If you haven’t tried combining rich, savory miso with slow-cooked pulled pork yet, this is your sign! This fusion pasta is absolute heaven—the pork cooks down until it completely falls apart, creating a glossy, deeply flavorful sauce that clings to the tagliatelle perfectly.
The best part? It's entirely built and slow-braised in one heavy-duty Nuovva Cast Iron Dutch Oven.
Here is how to recreate it at home:
Ingredients:
-1 Pork Shoulder roast
-Tagliatelle pasta (cooked al dente)
-Garlic & Ginger (grated/crushed)
-Miso paste
-Soy sauce
-Rice vinegar
-Honey
-Chicken or vegetable stock
-Spring onions & Sesame seeds (for garnish)
-Olive oil (for searing)
Method:
-The Sear: Heat a splash of olive oil in your Dutch oven. Add the pork shoulder and sear on all sides until deep golden brown to lock in the flavor. Remove the pork and set it aside.
-Build the Sauce Base: In the same pot with the pork juices, quickly stir-fry the fresh garlic, ginger, and a generous scoop of miso paste.
-The Liquids: Stir in the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and honey. Pour in your stock, stir everything together, and return the seared pork back to the pot.
-Slow Braise: Cover with the heavy lid and transfer it straight to the oven. Let it braise at 160°C for about 3 hours (depending on weight) until the pork is melt-in-your-mouth tender and shreds effortlessly with two forks.
-Toss & Serve: Bring the shredded pork and its rich sauce back to a simmer on the stovetop, toss in your fresh tagliatelle, and coat the pasta thoroughly.
-Garnish: Serve hot, topped with a generous sprinkle of sliced spring onions and toasted sesame seeds.
It’s simple, incredibly comforting, and cooked to absolute perfection.
