A little bit of wedding magic 🤍🌿

What a beautiful weekend for this lovely couple to say I do….Big Congratulations 🥂

I had the pleasure of creating their wedding flowers, bringing together rich burgundy tones, thistles, berries, beautifully scented peach roses and plenty of lush, natural greenery. A little bit wild, romantic and full of texture…just perfect for their special day.

And what a location! Surrounded by woodland, water and the most beautiful countryside, it really was the perfect setting for a wedding. 🌿

The rain even made an appearance… but somehow those moments under the clear umbrellas just made the photographs even more magical. ☔️🤍

Wishing this gorgeous couple a lifetime of happiness together. It was such a pleasure to be a small part of your day. 🌸

🌿 A palette of soft colour & wild greenery 🌿

Blush pink, quiet whites, powdery blue and soft greens, all coming together in a gentle, natural palette for this beautiful intimate wedding.

I loved creating these flowers…loose, delicate and a little bit whimsical, with each stem bringing its own shape and movement. 🌿🌸

There’s something rather special about creating flowers for a small wedding. Everything feels a little more personal, a little more thoughtful, and the flowers become part of the story of the day.

So lovely to have been a small part of such a special day. Wishing the happy couple a lifetime of love, laughter and beautiful memories. 🤍

A huge congratulations to Gin & Brett on their wedding day! 🤍🥂

It was such a pleasure to create the flowers for their beautiful, small and intimate wedding.

Gin & Brett both love Scotland, so they wanted to bring a little Scottish feel into their flowers…thistles, colours inspired by heather and some gorgeous bright orange roses. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I loved how the blue thistles, purple dainty filler flowers and those pops of orange all worked together. A lovely mix of colours with a little nod to Scotland….which was extra special for me being Scottish too! 💜🧡💙

🌿 A little hello from me… 🌿

It’s a rainy August day here in Poynton, and if truth be told, it’s given me the perfect excuse to sit down with a cuppa and do some planning. ☕🌧️

So I thought it was about time I said hello properly and told you a little bit about the person behind Wild Ivy Florist.

I’m Carol, originally from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 so if you’re looking for a little Highland or Celtic influence in your flowers, you’re definitely in the right place! 🌿

My love of flowers started a very long time ago. Rose petals were a particular favourite of mine… usually picked to make Mum some homemade perfume for her birthday! 🌹

But flowers also gave me something else. I’ve always found comfort and peace in their beauty…something I still feel today.

Many years later, that feeling came back into my life and eventually led me to floristry training. And here I am, just over seven years later, still doing something I truly love. 🌸

It isn’t always easy. There are early deliveries, lots of lifting, plenty of hands-on work and, some days, my hands certainly remind me of it! But then I see a customer’s face when they receive their flowers, or a couple see their wedding flowers for the first time, and somehow it all feels worthwhile. 💕

Today I’m busy planning workshops, weddings, Flower Club and lots of lovely floral things for the months ahead.

So, while the rain does its thing outside, I’ll be here with my notebook, dreaming up flowers and wondering where the next seven years might take me. 🌿

🌸 A Day of Flowers & Fundraising 🌸

It was such a pleasure to take Wild Ivy Florist along to the pop-up market in support of the Moya Cole Charity. 💕

For every bunch of flowers sold on the day, I made a donation to this very special charity, helping to raise a little more towards a cause that means so much to so many.

The day was organised by the lovely Emily NEATbyEmilyJane&Co , who was also taking on the amazing challenge of running 10K for the charity, which is very close to her heart. 🏃‍♀️💪

A huge well done to Team Emily and to everyone who helped make the day such a success. And of course, thank you to everyone who bought flowers and supported the cause. 🌿💐

It’s lovely when flowers can help make a difference. 🌿💐

📍 Outside Neat Hair Salon at the Fiveways, Hazel Grove

This lovely pop-up event is being organised by Emily from Neat Hair Salon, who is taking on a charity run in aid of Moya Cole Hospice, formerly known as St Ann’s Hospice…a charity very close to her heart. ❤️

Moya Cole Hospice provides specialist care and support for people living with life-limiting illnesses, as well as their families and loved ones.

To help raise awareness and support Emily’s fundraising, there will be local stallholders, fresh flowers and lots going on at Fiveways. 🌿

🌸 I’ll be providing fresh, locally sourced flowers with Wild Ivy Florist….Flowers for all occasions! 💐

And because it’s all about supporting a great cause, a donation from every bunch of flowers sold will go to Moya Cole Hospice. ❤️

So come along, have a browse, support some lovely local businesses, come and say hello, and help us support Emily and a wonderful cause.

🌿Just a little hello from me to say that Wild Ivy Florist is still here, busy as ever and doing what I love …creating beautiful flowers for you! 🌸

I’m still taking orders for bouquets, gratitude jam jars flowers, seasonal flowers, weddings, funerals, special occasions and all those lovely moments when flowers are needed. 💐

For now, flowers are available for collection from my home studio or local delivery.

I’ve got lots of exciting things in the pipeline and can’t wait to share them with you soon!
