This Saarinen Executive Knoll inspired chair was rescued from a skip by my client. It was rusty, with crumbling foam and shredded fabric and in serious need of tlc (watch the reel to see the before pics).

I stripped the chair back to the frame and rebuilt it with new fillings and finished it with a bold cobalt blue fabric from

Such a gorgeous retro looking piece 💙

If you’re lucky enough to find a mid-century chair in a skip, give me a shout and I’ll dig out my gloves and face mask again 🤣 I think the final result was worth it!

My favourite makeover is when I’m told to go bold, and in this case, tropical so Rainforest Rush by was my immediate thought. I’d been wanting to work with this design for yonks so was thrilled when I got the go ahead.

I paired this with contrast piping from ‘s Tango velvet range which was the perfect shade of tomato red to really set off Becca’s design.

My customer found his gran’s old chair (possibly from the 1960’s?) while clearing out a family garage. As it held so many memories of family life he wanted to give it a new lease of life for his home in Scotland.

This was a full rebuild from the frame up and the legs were stripped back and refinished too. Watch to the end of the reel to see the before pics to see the full extent of the glow up!

I spent a lovely couple of days at the at Royal Sandhurst Military Academy this week & treated myself to a stay at which was a total indulgence for me!
I got to see lots of my upholstery heroes, my favourite suppliers and discovered some fabulous new businesses to work with.
The speaker sessions were so informative & inspiring & the icing on the cake was meeting up with some of my online pals in real life & they were just as fabulous as I’d imagined.
Florals & brights were the standouts for me and I’m feeling very inspired to use more in my creations…watch this space!
