Ruckus & Blake. Now sadly departed from this world due to old age but living on in the name of this shop. Ruckus & Blake both loved sticks of course, Ruckus found joy in nearly every stick he came across but could never settle on one and either destroyed or abandoned them by the end of the walk. Blake was more discerning in his choices and more considerate of the challenge of the journey ahead, br
inging only his most valued treasures home with him. The wood for the first necklace I made and still wear came from such a stick, tipped with resin dyed with turmeric, oil finished and a copper tube for the waxed cotton cordage to run through. It has held up exceptionally well, a couple of scratches over the years and needing replacement cordage once but otherwise it is as it was the day it was finished. Even the copper tube has remained bright. I consider the pendant itself to be very water resistant and can accept replacing the cordage when required. Between then and now has been a time of learning and experimenting and eventually coming to the conclusion that it might be time to start sharing my work with others that may like my creations. Unfortunately Blake's sticks are too rare to consider making many more necklaces from, however I have crafted a selection from other resources that are available for purchase along with other hand crafted oddments such as key/necklace hangers. Over time I hope to continue to expand the range of offerings. My intention is for most of my products to be unique and where there are similarities, no two items will be exactly identical.
