THE 60:30:10 COLOUR RULE...
If you're not confident using colour in your decor, adopt the 60:30:10 colour rule to keep you on track.
60% of your room in one base colour, usually a neutral but you could go bold. Flooring and walls.
30% of the room in a secondary colour to add depth and definition. Could be an accent wall or the furniture.
10% in an accent colour to catch your eye at different points across the room. Cushions, artwork or vases for example.
