Lighting can become an important consideration when a development is close to sensitive habitats or areas of ecological importance.

That's why we believe lighting should be considered early in the design process.

Working alongside the ecologist and wider project team gives us the opportunity to understand the requirements of the site and develop a lighting approach that provides appropriate illumination where it is needed while controlling unnecessary light spill into sensitive areas.

A new project is underway at Bolton Parish Church.

We’ve started replacing the church’s outdated metal halide lighting with a modern, energy-efficient dimmable LED system.

As well as reducing energy use and ongoing maintenance, the new lighting will give the church much greater control over light levels for services, events and day-to-day use.

With buildings like Bolton Parish Church, it’s important that modern lighting technology is introduced sensitively while retaining the character and atmosphere of the space.

We’ll share more photographs as the work progresses and once the new lighting is complete.

We recently visited one of our lighting projects in Leicester to check on progress as the existing lighting is being upgraded to modern LED technology.

One of the best parts of working at Lumenata is visiting some truly beautiful places around the UK.

We're currently working on a lovely project in the countryside on the Cheshire, Staffordshire and Derbyshire borders, where we've been asked to design the lighting for a traditional stone-built farmhouse.

Our aim is to combine modern lighting techniques with the property's original character, creating a home that feels warm, welcoming and beautifully lit without losing its charm.

We can't wait to share more as the project develops.
