Yesterday afternoon I started my Christmas cake and decided to make mince meat aswell. My kitchen smelt amazing. Now It’s all mingling and tomorrow I have a days lieu so I’m gonna bake it and make so I can start feeding it.

I wanted a traditional cake recipe so my choices were
- Prue Leith
- Mary Berry
- Nigella Lawson or
- Delia Smith

I ofcourse went with Saint Delia Smith. However Prue was 2nd, Nigella 3rd & Mary 4th choice.

Whose recipe would be your first choice? Or what order would your 4 be? Maybe you have someone else’s recipe you’d choose?

🕊️ I have eventually made time today to make this frame that I’ve wanted to make since we launched “Festive Opulence” at Hunkydory Crafts.

🕊️ This is a large Glass box frame where the aperture is A4 but the mount can be removed to make it bigger. I got this frame from The Range not today, but a couple of months ago and build up this layout using some of all the components of Festive Opulence with the exception of the little book. As there is height too it with foam pads I removed the glass and so I don’t lose it incase I want it again in the future I placed in the back of the frame.

🕊️ We all know I love Festive Opulence and also Home Alone 2 lost in New York, it’s my favourite film of all time, not just at Christmas time which it won’t be the same watching this year having lost 3 staple characters but what never changes is the scene with Kevin in Duncan’s toy chest where Mr Duncan gives Kevin the 2 turtle doves. I adore the verse so I printed it out overlaying the turtle dove insert and build all around it.

🕊️ This will certainly be treasured forever like the turtle doves.

How great is this.

For along time I have wanted to do some form of journaling and as creative as I am, I can’t be bothered doing all the fancy creative part. I just want to write but also I know I wouldn’t know exactly what to write.

I’ve just left The Range where I seen this and had to buy it. A question a day and it can be done over 5 years. Some questions are so random like “who do you wish would message back that hasn’t”, “what was your most recent success or victory”, “what makes you feel strong” to “what is currently your favourite sweet”

I think this book is an absolute brilliant idea & a great way to get your feelings out and down on paper via the medium of simple questions. I’m only going to do it over a year so I can expand my daily answers.

Thought I’d share for anyone who’s like me. Never know what it can turn into.
