Our wonderwall is full of variety. Different sizes and shapes for all applications, we have a brush for everything.

- Glaze Mops for slip and glazes.

- Fine Point Shaders for detailed work.

- Cut Line Banders for smooth line work.

Plot twist: it’s the exact same glaze! 🤯

It’s amazing how much the underlying clay body changes the final look. On the porcelain it fires bright and clean and on the dark grogged clay, a textured mottled finished is acheived.

We have tested four of our favourite Bath Potters stoneware glazes.

1st Green Opaque
2nd Light Blue Matt
3rd Green Brown
4th Turquoise Matt

The clays we used were E-S600 Porcelain and PF660 Chunky Black

"Happiness in the accident" - The meaning of Raku

We can testify there is much happiness when you reveal the magical effects the Raku process has 🔥

We have used Asfraf Hana Raku casting slip, to make our white raku cuppies.

Using a variety of our classic Bath Potters Raku glazes, Mayco Raku glazes, and even some Botz glazes designed for Earthenware but perform equally well during Raku.

Experimenting with layering, and thickness, to add even more variety to your results.

Fancy trying something different?

Amaco Crawls glazes may be worth giving a go.

Layer them over underglazes and other stoneware glazes, and even over each other, to get two toned crawls.

Unlike most glazes, you must apply each layer before the previous later has dried. Once you have mastered the unusual glazing technique, you can get some really exciting results.
