We are expanding the team at Victoria Gayle Interiors, which means our lead time on handmade curtains and blinds is now only 4-6 weeks.
And, we can design and hand-stitch curtains with a multitude of pleats...
• French Pleat, also referred to as Triple Pinch Pleat - The curtain fabric is folded into three separate loops and stitched tightly together 3 inches from the top. This fans the top into an elegant, highly formal shape.
• Double Pinch Pleat or Two-Finger Pinch - Very similar to the French pleat, but folds only two loops together. It offers a slightly cleaner, less bulky look that typically requires less fabric.
• Parisian Pleat - The curtain fabric is pinched and stitched at the very top edge.
• Box Pleat - The fabric loops are flattened evenly on both sides and stitched flat down the front face of the curtain heading. This creates wide, crisp, geometric rectangular panels.
• Inverted Box Pleat - The exact reverse of a box pleat. The flat fold is tucked into the backside of the curtain panel, leaving a completely uninterrupted wall of fabric when closed and a tight, tidy stack when opened.
• Goblet Pleat - The curtain fabric is stitched into a wide, singular tube and usually stuffed with tissue or foam inserts. And as the name suggests, it resembles a row of formal wine glasses. This is an elegant choice for formal dining rooms, grand living rooms, and traditional master bedrooms.
• Cartridge Pleat - This is very similar to the Goblet Pleat, but the stitched fabric cylinder is left open and unstuffed, giving a smooth, tubular look.
• Pencil Pleats - a classic, timeless design.
