Lighting a connected workplace ๐Ÿค

Located in Manchesterโ€™s Central Business District, Island is a 100,000 sq ft net zero carbon workspace designed to support a new era of hybrid working.

Working alongside SpaceInvader and Overbury, Light Forms delivered a vibrant, brand-led lighting scheme for Media O2 that brings colour, movement and identity into the heart of the workplace.

From the moment you arrive, light acts as a language โ€“ colour, form and rhythm come together to express connectivity and flow, while supporting the practical demands of a fast-paced, multi-use office environment.

Spanning multiple floors, the scheme carefully balances expressive feature lighting with high-performance general illumination, creating a workplace that feels both energised and comfortable throughout the day.

A showroom that reflects a brandโ€™s identity ๐Ÿ–ค

Great showroom design isnโ€™t about creating a blank canvas โ€“ itโ€™s about building on what makes that brand unique.

When Gresham Office Furniture opened its flagship Clerkenwell showroom, the vision was to create a destination that celebrated British manufacturing, craftsmanship and collaboration within Londonโ€™s leading design district.

Lighting became an integral part of that experience, and thatโ€™s where Light Forms came in

Rather than simply illuminating products, the scheme was designed to support the journey through the space โ€“ drawing attention to key collections, enhancing textures and materials, and creating a comfortable environment where conversations about workplace design can happen naturally.

The result is a showroom that feels confident, welcoming and unmistakably Gresham demonstrating how considered lighting can strengthen both architecture and brand identity.

We loved being a part of this project so much we even installed Gresham furniture in our Reading HQ, and we have to say, it looks brilliant

Manchester Design Quest โ€“ What an evening ๐Ÿ‘

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us last night for Manchester Design Quest โ€“ what an incredible turnout!

From arriving at and setting off in search of the first clue to the final stop, it was brilliant to see the design community come together with such energy, creativity and a healthy dose of competitive spirit. Teams took on the challenge across the city, showcasing teamwork, quick thinking and plenty of problem-solving along the way. Well done to the โ€˜Disley Dolliesโ€™ winning team for completing the quest in a record 44 minutes!

Weโ€™re also incredibly grateful to our fantastic partners , , , and for helping bring the event to life โ€“ and of course to every single participant who made the evening what it was.

It was a pleasure to host such a vibrant mix of designers, collaborators and industry friends all in one place.

Today weโ€™re joining forces with , , , and for an afternoon of teamwork, problem solving, networking and a bit of friendly competition across Manchester.

With more than 100 design professionals taking part, the city is set for an afternoon of clues, collaboration and plenty of energy as teams race between locations in pursuit of victory.

Weโ€™re proud to be kicking things off from our Manchester home at , bringing the design community together before teams head out across the city for the challenge ahead.
