Emily's artistic practice is firmly rooted in observational drawing where they use figurative art as a basis for exploring the connection and disconnection of mind and body, time and memory.

Emily uses printmaking processes such as linocut and etching to create detailed images with a distinct style of linework, hatching and tone, usually focusing on hands, faces and human figures.
