Meet the Maker ✨
I’ve had quite a a few new follows over the summer holidays so let me introduce myself to you all ………..
👋 Hi, I’m Louise — I’m a proud mum of four in a crazy blended family, with ages ranging from 7 to 23 and I’m married to my biggest supporter.
🧵 By day, I work in a well-known craft store, but before that I spent years as a Cardiac Intensive Care Nurse. I stepped away from nursing after having my youngest baby, and creativity soon became my next chapter.
🧸 I’m completely self-taught when it comes to memory bears. I started making them during Covid after creating a special “Covid Memory Bear” for my son’s school — and I instantly fell in love with the process. What began as a hobby quickly turned into something so meaningful.
💛 One of my favourite parts of making memory bears is hearing the stories behind the clothing and memories they hold. Every bear is unique, personal, and made with so much love.
🥰 I LOVE to craft and will have a go at most things and you’ll see me pop some additional videos/ pictures of other things to encourage you all to have a go too!
🧶 I cannot Knit or crochet!
🌍 Outside of sewing, I love to travel and have been lucky enough to live in Germany, Ireland, and America before settling by the sea in Redcar.
🗓️ I’m also a total planner — my calendar is basically my bible!
💕Friends would probably describe me as enthusiastic
🎄 Christmas is my absolute favourite season. December is when I slow down, soak up family time, and enjoy making memories with the people I love most.
