We are thrilled to be a part of Between the Tides Festival in Redcar next weekend! 🌊 If you’re busy exploring the festival, why not come and discover the Make & Mend Space – a welcoming creative space where children and families can make, create and unwind together.

Drop in throughout the festival and enjoy a changing programme of free creative and wellbeing activities designed to spark imagination, encourage curiosity and bring people together. Whether you’re experimenting with printmaking, sculpting with clay, joining a family yoga session or simply taking a moment to slow down, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Our activities celebrate the joy of making, helping families spend quality time together, discover new skills and leave with something handmade to remember their day by the sea.

All activities are free, drop-in and suitable for all levels of experience. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Programme includes:
💙 Printmaking with Sally Agar – Saturday only
🩵 Clay Modelling with Creative Village – Sunday only
💙 Family Yoga with Kalma Life Teesside – Saturday and Sunday

We thought it thought was about time that we introduce ourselves again…So hello! 👋🏻 We’re Rachel and Lyndsey and we are the founders of Make & Mend Co. It’s hard to believe, but we’ve worked together for almost 20 years now 🤯 and have been involved with some amazing creative projects and events over the years.

We started Make & Mend Co. in 2018 and it brings together the things we love most in life - creativity and colour! We are huge believers in the power of creativity to improve your wellbeing, and we have a range of mindful embroidery kits and ready stitched gifts.

Not only that, but we also host Make & Mend Festival 🤩 A day of colour, creativity and wellbeing that nourishes the soul, and our favourite day of the year ❤️ A huge thank you again to everyone who came, as this year was the first one at our new venue Kirkleatham Walled Garden 🌸

We are still on a huge high after Make & Mend Festival this weekend, and seeing more of the gorgeous photos from is bringing it all back! 🤩 It’s hard to put it all into words but it really just felt magical ✨✨✨ Reading all the lovely comments and seeing your photos too has just been amazing - thank you so much to everyone who came along! IT'S TODAY! 🥳 We are so excited to welcome everyone to Kirkleatham Walled Garden for Make & Mend Festival 2026!

Don't forget that our amazing Makers Marketplace with Ames from Flowing Fibres is open to the public, with FREE ENTRY even if you don't have a festival ticket. Open from 10am - 6pm, so come on down and support our fantastic makers! We'll see you there 😎
