Cosy Cotswolds cottage ready for all things Autumn 🍁🍂 photography by my favourite Amanda Jackson Interior Photo

10/09/2026

This cottage in the heart of Woodstock is full of character, and there isn’t a straight wall in the place! We didn’t want to take anything away from its charm, but we did want it to feel more modern.

So we kept the walls neutral and were bold with colour and pattern everywhere else, including these beautiful cushions & throw from Soho Home. I love how it’s turned out. Photography Amanda Jackson Interior Photo

The Barrel Room 🤎

Previously a living room, we transformed this space into a bedroom with its own ensuite.

We loved the curved ceiling and arched window and really wanted to make the most of them. We carried those curves through into the furniture, particularly the bed and bespoke joinery, and kept the rest of the room soft and understated with warm woods, natural textures and muted tones.

It’s now such a calm and cosy room, while still keeping all the character of the original cottage.

One of our favourite transformations from this project.

There’s just something about a neutral bedroom that feels instantly calm, isn’t there? 🤍 I loved layering in soft creams with a hint of accent colour here to keep it fresh and modern. The European oak brings in that warmth I always look for, while the soft furnishings add depth and comfort (because a bedroom should always feel inviting!).

One of my favourite parts of this project is the flow through to the dressing area along with the TV that spins 360 so it can be watched from bed or the curved sofa! How gorgeous are those apex shutters? They work with the house perfectly and make such a statement.

Would you go for a calm neutral palette with subtle accents like this, or do you prefer something bolder?

We loved creating this serene and contemporary formal lounge. Layered window dressings frame the space, while bespoke cabinetry and carefully chosen fabrics add depth and warmth. Styled with a light touch, the result feels calm, inviting, and quietly luxurious.
