A huge motivation for my work is sustainability – reimagining modern furniture to create a desirable object for a 21st century home whilst cherishing the skills and workmanship that went into the original piece and honouring the master craftsmen that built it. I understand the frustration of having a vision and not knowing where to start. Lindsay and Andy’s beautiful Arts and Crafts home is filled with character and craftsmanship, so it was clear from the start that this commission needed to celebrate wood in all its glory.

They wanted a large Art Deco cocktail cabinet with a truly exceptional grain and this stunning burr walnut delivered in the most spectacular way🍸

To connect the piece to their space, I added a geometric design in teal and gold, echoing the room’s accent colours, and finished the inside with a fan palm wallpaper for a little moment of surprise when the cabinet opens.

Now it sits perfectly at home, ready for evenings of entertaining and quiet celebrations alike 🥂
