This is a reproduction, in oil, by Jan Merrick Horn of Tamara de Lempicka’s Myrto, a painting of two naked, reclining women. The original painting was stolen during the N**i occupation of France in World War II by a German soldier who could not resist the allure of the image. It has not been seen since. Few of Lempicka’s paintings from the period are in museums – most are in private collections. This is an exceptional recreation of the original painting, keeping to the style of Lempicka. In bespoke glazed black gallery frame.

This is an original signed oil on board by Cornwall artist Jan Merrick Horn. A man with an interesting life and acclaimed realism artist.
This was painted in 2004 by Jan. It is based on a photograph by Pete Turner during his visit to Africa. In an interview Pete said 'Their Masaii, and they actually used to use rocks to enlarge their earlobes, and the rocks are heavy and uncomfortable. They liked anything hollow that they can stick in there. There’s a guy who even has pineapple can stuck in his ear.'
This is in very good condition throughout.

Just in. Oil painting by Cornwall artist Steve Camps. Steve's art is in demand throughout the UK and the USA. This painting is probably one of the biggest you will see. It goes back to the beginning of the 'Prince of Whales' phenomenon. The single whale, but on a grand scale. Approximately 194cm by 88cm. Contact me for details.

These are very rare pieces of art by the German sculptor Werner Schwendner, who passed away in 2020 aged 76. He was a renowned sculptor and restorer. One of his sculptures can be seen in the centre of Augsburg. The fountain is called the Taubenmarie fountain. Framed n**e by Angela Lyle (B 1946)

Angela Lyle studied Fashion design at Kingston Art College in the late 1960's.
She spent several years making stage costumes for Rock musicians, which led to her opening a rehearsal/recording studio in Wales. This was used by musicians including Freddie Mercury, Meat Loaf, Black Sabbath and Genesis. She would often cook for them and look after them while they would rehearse. At the same time she was designing clothes and fabrics for Welsh Woollen Mills and producing hand painted silk and velvet for her own collections.
She moved to Cornwall in 1985 and found constant inspiration in the countryside and coastline. She also loves life drawing and enjoys using colour and composition in this work.
Her work has been exhibited in Cornwall, New Zealand, Spain and the USA.
