CAN YOU HELP US FULFIL MICHAEL'S DREAM?
Our dear Michael passed away on 25th August following a long illness which he'd faced with unwavering stoicism and fortitude.
Michael was desperately sad to close Oakshott Fabrics he always thought of our lovely customers as personal friends. Our grateful thanks to all who have supported Oakshott Fabrics over the years.

In Michael's memory, we'd love to help REACHING THE UNREACHED, a charity which cares for orphaned and destitute children, providing shelter, loving care, education and a future.
Michael dreamed of building them a house - just £1200 could help fund a solid, functional home and transform lives.
Operating in South India where Michael was born and grew up, Reaching the Unreached was always dear to his heart.
We do hope you'll help us build a house.

Sheena Stone is rightly proud of her RUSTED RIVETS miniature quilt, made for her City & Guilds Diploma.

"Everything must be teeny! she laughs. It's a challenge for dexterity, eyesight, measuring and sanity!"

The shapes and colours of old mining machinery, which provided the inspiration, just happen to fit Sheena's hallmark palette to a tee.

"It's made entirely in very lovely Oakshott fabric, she says. I'm pleased with the end result... but won't be making another one!"

A blue rosette day: Rebecca Owen .nz emailed to tell us her quilt THE COVID COMMUTE had won 1st Prize at Auckland Festival of Quilts.

Rebecca made the entire quilt using Oakshott and to her own design. She relates its story...

'Lockdowns saw our daily commute change. Heading into the office or school became working from home. Neighbourhoods seemed to come alive with activity, colour and a sense of community. Home, while at times challenging, became a safe haven to work and play.

'The colours were my inspiration and what brought the whole project together.'
