Watercolours by Jane This page showcases some of my watercolour paintings, in different styles, usually of Cornwall

I am so lucky to live in Cornwall, it is a beautiful county and I am surrounded by wonderful scenery that just inspires me to paint, not only seascape scenes but I also love our Cornish Tin Mines, that dot the landscape, especially around Redruth. This page will share some of my images, and perhaps encourage you to buy! I have a range of products on my website, including original paintings and cards; miniature acrylic paintings; prints and cards

A delayed post to show my work from Tuesday’s Scribblegroup.
This week’s activity was to paint flowers loosely using watercolor, outline in black pen and add extra decorative elements with paint or pen. Then cut them out to create something. I finished it at home and decided to make them into birthday cards for personal use. I am not sure about the font in the sentiment but I love the flower shapes.

Today I didn’t loose my marbles but I had fun playing with them. This was at The Art Room Scribblegroup, using marbles to create random marks, adding a splash of colour and stitched into a book. Thoroughly enjoyed just having fun, with no pressure.

A massive thank you to everyone who has picked up my paintings, cards, and tags at The Craft Collective lately!

I’m officially on "restock duty". It’s a tough job deciding which designs work best for each format, but I think this Gyllyngvase Beach painting is calling out to be a greeting card.

What do you think? Your feedback is always appreciated. Drop a comment and let me know what you think or which one is your favourite!

Happy Valentines Day.
I am having a lovely day. The sun is shining, hubby had baked a fresh sourdough loaf, I went to Gylly for a swim and I have got a homemade pasty for lunch. Later I will be off to The Railway Club for a beer and watch the Rugby with hubby and our friends. I hope your day is going ok.

Day 12 of the Instagram challenge and topic is "Your favourite tool".
I have a beautiful paintbrush Winsor & Newton Finest Sable Size 10 and it is most definitely my favourite.
However for my smaller paintings I do like my W & N Cirrus 220 Kolinsky Sable Designers size 6 brush and a very fine ProArte Proelene 4/0 or 0000 brush, which is excellent for adding a fine line of white paint to create surf.

Day 11 of the Instagram challenge and topic is "Favourite materials to use ".
I LOVE St Cuthberts Mill classic watercolour paper, however it is expensive I have to justify its use so often use other (in my head anyway).
My favourite paints are Winsor & Newton Artists' Water Colour and I love to paint the beautiful Turquoise sea around Cornwall, so frequently use Manganese Blueand Cobalt Turquoise Light, but I love Winsor Blue (Green) and Naples Yellow, they blend so beauitifully.

Day 8 of the Instagram challenge and topic is "My work space ". It can vary and could be inside my studio, which is very disorganised! If I am out and about I have much less stuff with my travel artist palette, small brush set or water brushes usually using A6 postcard size watercolour cards
