Specialising in carved and giltwood furniture, carving, gilding. With many years of experience in the care and conservation of Antique furniture we are BAFRA and ICON registered. We are able to supply condition reports and estimates together with photographic records of any conservation/restoration undertaken. We also offer a free collection and delivery service and are always happy to call in if there is anything you’d like to discuss.

Our Antique Furniture restoration workshop is based in Reepham, Norfolk. Please do get in touch with any furniture restoration enquires, no job to big or too small. We undertake any projects from a small broken chair leg, to a full mirror regild, some lifting veneer or even smashed marble table. Whatever the project, we are here to help at Butler and Castell restoration services.

George III Mahogany Cellarette | Late 18th Century attributed to Gillows
A fine George III mahogany cellarette, crafted at a time when entertaining was as much about presentation as it was hospitality.
Originally designed to store wine and spirits, these elegant pieces often stood proudly in the dining room, with bottles kept cool and secure beneath a lockable lid. The rich mahogany timber, elegant proportions and quality craftsmanship have allowed many to survive for well over 200 years.
