🌿✨ Goodbye May, Hello June ✨🌿
PHASE 3 !!!!!!!!
April and May have been months of transformation. After wanting a building for so long and some just not seeming the right match.. And, since on a walk years ago, stumbling across the old mill buildings and spoke with lovely Phyllis, and was so incredibly inspired by the woodlands and the creative surprise: somebody so dedicated to her art, rain or shine just lovely to see. (more on this inspiring topic later)
🙌After working for nothing for many years on this vision. I wasn't going to stop until I got it. Nothing could have prepared me for the amount of work this building needed, even though I was warned!
It had many used before including just storage for some, before being closed for many years.
🫶I still fell in love with the potential 😅 I was determined to create something meaningful for the community, and that determination kept me going, with no funding and a draining family pot!
💥There have been long days, hard work, and plenty of challenges. While I've poured countless hours into this project myself, (with my amazing little wingman) I am eternally grateful to my wonderful friends, especially Zoe Sav and Chelle, The Hygge Hub the family members and supportive neighbours who have stepped in to help along the way. ❤️
It's still rough around the edges and it's never going to be clean aesthetic, as thats not what this amazing industrial unit-come creative studio (or me, was destined to be) 🤣
We've come so far, but this is only the beginning...
🏡 Phase 1: Renovation of Studio 1 – our creative space ✔️
🎨 Phase 2: Our mini taster launch – sharing the vision, answering questions, gathering feedback ✔️
🌳 Phase 3: Building solid foundations for our CIC and beginning the renovation of the *Enchanted Sensory Space 🚧✨*Reach out for volunteers.
*Encouraging discussions about needs, listening to peoples requests and making plans of action, (Please feel free to suggest a need)
*Matching the right people for each project
*Organising time tables, classes and events
The conversations we've had with visitors have been incredible, and it's been wonderful to see people reaching out and signing up for info. The meetings behind the scenes and the backing from people who get the vision fills me with gratitude and relief 💚
