Glad to meet the Mayor of Medway at the opening evening of the Rochester Art Fair. It was a lovely start to the weekend and such a great atmosphere celebrating art with so many talented artists.

December and January were full of exhibitions, new works, and quiet studio hours.

I haven’t been very present on socials but I’ve been present in the work.

Here’s a small recap of where the light has taken me lately.

09/02/2026

I work through repetition and layering, using circular gestures as a way of recording time rather than depicting form. Each mark is made by hand and allowed to remain imperfect, so that variation, hesitation, and change become part of the surface.

The process is slow and accumulative. Circles are applied, interrupted, partially erased, and reworked, allowing earlier moments to remain visible beneath later ones. In this way, the painting becomes a record of duration — of presence gradually loosening into trace.

My technique reflects an interest in “Elmúlás”not as an ending, but as a continuous state, where form, memory, and gesture shift and dissolve without disappearing entirely.
