Intra Arts

Intra Arts Medway based arts venue and not-for-profit organisation, hosting creative events, classes, activities & studios, & access to specialist arts equipment.

We're in the Old High Street, Intra - where Rochester meets Chatham. We run an arts programme with workshops and events, and have one of the best collections in Kent of arts equipment accessible to the general public. We have built a friendly community of people interested in creativity of all kinds, and welcome people of all age, ability and circumstances. People come to us to learn specialist sk

ills, make things in company, to get a break from the stresses of their lives, to work on projects and all sorts of other reasons. We don't require membership, and we keep prices affordable. There is a lovely workshop space where we run a programme of creative activities. The space can also be hired by groups or individuals to host meetings, parties or classes. The studios at INTRA are occupied by artists who bring and share their expertise and equipment with the community. We have Medway Fine Printmakers running a fantastic print studio with an excellent range of presses and courses spanning intaglio, stencil, and relief printing. Unravel & Unwind offer a craft drop-in community centre where you can learn skills from crochet to decoupage, or just bring along a project you are working on and make it in company. We have a small shop of hand printed gifts, stationery and textiles - many made on the premises, and James Worse makes letterpressed artworks on his Peerless platen press. INTRA doesn't currently receive funding from any public body, but hopefully we will in the future so that we can offer free and discounted activities.

Well we're charging up our glow again for the Electric Medway Festival, and invite you to get creative with mythology surrounding the Aurora Borealis on Sunday 12th October.
