With the new school term just around the corner, lots of families are starting to think about uniforms, lunch boxes and getting back into routine. 🎒
For many neurodivergent children, though, going back to school can bring extra worries. New teachers, changing routines, unfamiliar environments and the effort of getting through the school day can all feel overwhelming. Research has shown that school transitions are a significant source of concern for many neurodivergent children and their families.
What often gets forgotten is what happens after the school day ends.
Home is where many children finally feel safe enough to let go of everything they've been holding in.
That's why I believe our homes should do more than look beautiful—they should support regulation, rest and everyday family life.
💬 What helps your child unwind after school?

Booking a discovery call can feel like a big step... but I promise it's much more relaxed than you might think. 🤍
There's no hard sell, no obligation to book and definitely no judgement.
It's simply an opportunity for us to chat about your home, what's not quite working and what you'd love to change.
I'll ask a few questions, listen to your ideas and explain how I might be able to help. If we decide we're a good fit, fantastic! If not, you've still had the chance to talk things through and hopefully leave with a little more clarity.
Finding the right interior designer is important, and I want you to feel comfortable asking questions before making any decisions.
✨ If you've been thinking about transforming your home but haven't known where to start, I'd love to chat.
Send me a message and we can arrange a free, no-obligation discovery call.

Choosing paint is about so much more than picking a colour you like. 🎨
When I'm designing a home, I don't just think about the shade on the wall.
I consider things like:
✨ How the room is used.
✨ The amount of natural light.
✨ The paint finish.
✨ The quality of the paint, including low VOC options.
✨ And, most importantly, the people who live there.
There isn't a universal "best" colour for ADHD or Autism. Every person experiences their environment differently, which is why thoughtful, personalised design is so important.
If you're planning to redecorate, don't just ask, "What colour should I choose?"
Ask, "How do I want this room to feel?"
💬 What's the first thing you look for when choosing paint?

Does your living room seem to do... everything? 🙈
One minute it’s a playroom, the next it’s a home office, then somewhere to relax at the end of the day.

For neurodivergent families especially, creating clear zones can help reduce overwhelm and make everyday life feel that little bit easier.

The good news? You don’t need a bigger home. Simple changes like using furniture to define spaces, creating a cosy retreat or giving each area a purpose can make a real difference.

Because a calm home isn’t about having more space—it’s about making the space you have work better for your family.

If you’re looking at your home thinking, “I just don’t know where to start,” you’re not alone. Pop me a message—I’d be happy to help.

Happy National Left-Handers Day! 👋
Fun fact... I'm left-handed, and so is my son.
Did you know only around 10% of people are left-handed, but some research suggests it's a little more common in people with ADHD and dyslexia?
I always find things like this so interesting. It's another reminder that we're all wired differently, and that's exactly why I believe our homes should be designed around the people living in them.
Who's in the left-handed club? 🙋‍♀️

If your home feels a little more chaotic than usual right now, you're definitely not alone.
School bags have been replaced with toys. The kitchen seems to be constantly in use. Cushions have somehow migrated into every room. And no matter how many times you tidy up, it feels like you've barely made a dent.
The truth is, our homes work much harder during the holidays. They're classrooms, playrooms, cafés, cinemas, craft rooms and places to unwind—all rolled into one.
Instead of aiming for a perfectly tidy home (which is unrealistic for most families!), try focusing on reducing friction instead.
✨ Keep a basket in the living room for toys that can be quickly tidied away.
✨ Create one designated snack station so you're not answering "Can I have a snack?" every five minutes.
✨ Clear just one surface each evening—it can make a room feel calmer without spending hours tidying.
A calm home isn't about having less.
It's about creating a home that works for the season you're in.
So if your house feels a little louder, messier and more lived in over the holidays... give yourself some grace. ❤️
What's the one thing that's taking over your house this summer?
