Born in Glossop on the edge of the Peak District, 15-year-old wildlife and nature photographer Laurence Riley has spent the past two years capturing the beauty of the natural world, from his local landscapes to destinations across Europe. Inspired by a deep connection to nature, photography provides him with a sense of focus, freedom, and creativity, allowing him to tell stories through wildlife and landscapes while sharing the emotion and atmosphere of each moment.

“Through my work, I hope to share the beauty, emotion, and wonder of the natural world while encouraging others to appreciate and protect wildlife and the environments they inhabit.”

Laurence Riley’s photography is available in mounted and framed, open edition and limited edition prints.

We’re excited to be helping out the local charity with the display and sale of “Doberman” by Mike Skidmore. Mike was incredibly generous to donate this piece, as well as one other, to The Hub some time ago and when they came to us for our expertise we were delighted.

The Hub CIC is a welcoming community charity space in Ross-on-Wye that provides practical support, advice, and social connection for local people. It offers a safe, inclusive environment where individuals can access help with everyday challenges, improve their wellbeing, develop new skills, and connect with others in the community.

While the other piece donated has already found its way to a happy patron, this is your chance to give this young pup a new home!

‘Doberman’ - Mike Skidmore
Unframed - 23.5cmx29cm
Framed - 35cm-41cm

Our wonderful photographer is branching out!
Chris has been capturing our gallery, artist talks, and private views since we opened, and has consistently shown the warmth and life of the space and events. As an avid photographer he has been snapping pictures all over, including many of Ross-on-Wye itself, and we are pleased to show some of his prints that we now have available as cards here at the shop!

A beautiful array of brass animal sculptures by Patricia Northcroft, created using the traditional lost-wax casting method.

This intricate process allows every detail to be carefully captured, resulting in a unique piece that showcases both exceptional craftsmanship and Patricia’s love of the natural world.

It’s an absolute pleasure to have local artist Chris Miller join us as part of The Third Collection!

Deeply reflective, Chris finds great interest in the contrasting nature of textile work and his beliefs, emotions, and ideas come through strong in these pieces. With deep rich palettes and a great variety of materials, threads, textures, and patterns, Chris’ work is sure to energise any space.

“Spring Garden” and “Cracks in the System” 52cm x 52cm are available now at Beechers.
