The bags are ready to go!

As promised, here is the amazing cause I've been helping with recently. My aunt Sheila Mort is off to Uganda to work with a school and support their journey to being more self-sufficient.
These bags are going to be given out to the older girls, and they all contain some handmade reusable sanitary towels, some underwear, and some other little goodies.

As promised, here are all 14 beautiful drawstring bags that mum and I have made for this project in Uganda. I'll post some more info about it when I get the details from my aunt.

We've done a full day of sewing as well, making all the goodies to go in the bags.
Each bag will contain: 6 reusable sanitary pads (made by us), 2 little soaps & 2 pairs of underwear.

Final one done!

This has been a really fun project. Not only have I got through loads of my yarn stash, I've also had a go at writing my own pattern!

Mum has been making some bags alongside mine so to make sure they're the same I wrote a pattern, which is nerve wracking the first time! Hers have come out great as well so it must have at least made sense.

I would love to write it properly and have some testers so I'll be posting about that soon 👀
