Ceilings in Johnstone's Ultra Flat Matt, walls in Johnstone's Cleanable Matt, and woodwork in Johnstone's Aqua Guard Durable Matt finish. All three of these paints are superb, but my absolute favourite is the Cleanable Matt; rock hard, scrubbable, stain resistant 💪🏻

Some sad news to share, but also some good stuff....Mum's little dog, Douglas, sadly passed away just over two weeks ago...

Some sad news to share, but also some good stuff....

Mum's little dog, Douglas, sadly passed away just over two weeks ago. He was elderly, diabetic, and losing his sight, so it wasn't entirely unexpected, although it was still a big shock and very upsetting for Mum 😢

Having been tied for 2.5 years with Douglas's strict feeding regime and insulin injections, Mum has now decided it's time to make the most of her freedom and go on some adventures.... starting with a trip away with me in my Romahome, and a glider flight at Bidford Gliding & Flying Club! Not bad for an octogenarian, eh!

I'm so proud of her, and so privileged to be able to spend this time with her 🥰❤️🥰❤️🥰

It's my quoting day today, and I'm currently booking into November! Once I've booked in today's quotes, I will most likely be fully booked for the rest of 2026. I'm therefore going to close my books for the time being, and enjoy my Saturdays with my mum 🥰

If you are planning any decorating for next year, please contact me at least 6 months in advance.

I can still fit in small feature walls and wallpapering jobs at short notice as normal.

Things are changing a little bit here at Little Miss Perfectionist; firstly, Frank and I are no longer working together. Don't panic, we haven't fallen out! 😅 We've just decided that we want to go our separate ways, and we're both really happy with that 🥰

This leaves me free to think about my mum a bit more. As some of you know, she had a really bad fall (a trip, actually) two months ago, which left her very shaken and feeling quite vulnerable. Mum is nearing her late eighties now, and is starting to need a bit more help and support, so I am scaling back my working hours to accommodate this. I've been working 9-2 for some time now, which fits in well with most smaller jobs and drying times etc. I'll still be running jobs this way, but I won't be booking them back to back. All this means for you, my lovely customers, is that I will be booked up months in advance, so please plan well ahead if you know you want me! (I just took my first booking for 2027 last week!)

I think you all know how much I love my work, and I'm excited and honoured to continue sharing this passion with you ❤️🫶🏻❤️🫶🏻❤️

I want to give a big shout out to Luke from LAWS Exterior Cleaning for this superb clean of my mum's conservatory roof and carport 👌🏻 Highly recommended for all your exterior cleaning jobs - gutters and driveways as well 😀

I'll be spending the day with Mum tomorrow, helping her declutter and organise her conservatory, so we thought, while we're at it, we'll get the outside cleaned as well. It looks fantastic 😍 Thanks Luke! 👏🏻

Gorgeous makeover of this bungalow entrance hall, from bright blue walls, to Farrow & Ball colour 'Skimming Stone'. I had this mixed in Johnstone's Cleanable Matt, which has to be the best wall paint around at the mo! Super hard and scrubbable, very matt finish, and doesn't scuff or stain like other wall paints 👌🏻

This hallway looks so modern and spacious now; a very satisfying job indeed 👩🏻‍🎨😎
