Making a ZigZag Card, Part 4

For the fourth page of her ZigZag card, Tracey begins by stamping a Glow Flower onto a torn piece of vintage book paper. The edges were then gently distressed with Elements Inks before being adhered to the page using Bippity Boppity Glue.

Additional foliage and sentiment stamps were added directly onto the recycled cotton rag card, helping to build layers of interest and detail. To finish the design, Tracey incorporated a stencilled pattern along with touches of Stickles Glitter and Journaling Stickers for extra texture and sparkle.

✨ The next episode of this beautiful concertina card project will be available on Friday 11th June, where Tracey will continue creating more pages and developing the story of this unique fold-out design.

✨🇸🇪 Last week we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming six wonderful ladies from Sweden to the Dreamatorium! 🇸🇪✨

Their trip to Wales was filled with laughter, friendship, creativity, shopping, exploring beautiful Ruthin, visits to local pubs, and of course, a very special workshop with the lovely Jo Rice.

One of the highlights of their adventure was visiting the magical world of Lavinia Stamps, and hearing how much they enjoyed their time here truly warmed our hearts.

What makes the Lavinia community so special is that it brings together kindred spirits from all over the world, and seeing friendships, creativity, and magical memories being made is something we never take for granted. ✨

Thank you, ladies, for making the journey to visit us and for bringing such joy, warmth, and laughter to the Dreamatorium. We are so grateful to have been a small part of your adventure and to have created memories together that will last for years to come.

And after hearing you ask “Same time next year?”... we certainly hope so! 😉💖

Making a ZigZag scrapbook card, Part 3

For page three of her folding ZigZag card, Tracey continues to put her scrapbooking techniques to good use.

The Textured surface of this recycled cotton rag card can take a great deal of liquid, and so the lovely, dappled background was created by taking a “print” off a Gel Press loaded with Elements Inks and Mica-Infused Spray, spattered with water.

The bird was made on plain paper through a “Sticker Stencil” and was then glued onto the page.
Tomorrow, Tracey will show us how she tackled page four of this lovely concertina card.

Midsummer Moon by Sarah Summerton, our Recurring Creative Contributor for June 💚

We are so excited to have Sarah working with us this month, sharing inspiration for cards and the creative challenge.. Sarah shared this enchanting card as her announcement and introduction to her Role this month, and this just feels so magical ✨

With mesmerising calming hues and little golden sparkles, and a special moment caught between these two hares under a midsummer moon

Here is what Sarah wrote on her introductory post -
I am SO excited to be the Recurring Creative Contributor for June! The theme is Midsummer Moon . I hope you join us in creating some magical moon designs.

I love rabbits so the first card I chose to share is this one- can I let you into a secret? Lori was supposed to be central but dropped off my block 🙈 so I decided to roll with it. I'm so glad I did. He is sharing his wisdom with Pippin who is just starting out in life.

Nature’s Harmony - with Jo Rice

Hi everyone, Jo here again. I do hope your day is going well, and welcome to another crafty catch up.

Today I’m using one of our fabulous tree stamps, but with a little twist, I’ll be stamping it on its side to create a completely different look. From there we’ll build the scene with a couple of birds, some foliage stamping, and then bring in some beautiful florals to finish the design.

To add a little extra depth, I’ll softly blend a touch of Elements ink with my No. 3 stencil brush. Then it’s on to the final details, a few white Posca highlights and some yellow sparkly Posca splatters for that last bit of magic.
