Well that was fun! This was taken just before breakdown of the Home & Garden Show on Saturday afternoon (I excel at the 'hot mess' look by this stage ๐) but had to tell you how happy I was to be at Ely Cathedral for this first, very impressive, H&G show. So many lovely people stopped to chat and look and buy from me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. We talked about colour and how it makes us feel, people came back to tell me how well gifts previously bought from me at Christmas were received. One lovely lady replaced her much loved and inherited apron that could no longer be mended with a Flower Patch apron. Aprons tried on, decisions made whether to buy the contemporary shape or the retro frilly shape (she settled on straight edges, thought perhaps she might need to fend off her husband if she bought a frilly one! Laugh of the day for me, that.) Another really lovely couple bought tea towels and told me about their own son's very impressive business in retail. Helping a grandmother buy gifts for her family. I love designing and creating - and these shows, those stories and the lovely people I meet are my happy slice of life. Thank you so very much โค๏ธ So good to see my favourite fellow traders too. See you all again soon!
This is my own son, with my other half behind the camera, helping me as always set up and take down. Couldn't do it without them either ๐
