"When are you opening?" A frequently asked question since I was given the keys to a showroom in Saffron Walden. In equal measure, both heartwarming - that people care to ask - and terrifying - this is a big project. Originally the plan was to open towards the end of May, there have been a few hiccups along the way but I'm close now 😅.
To celebrate there'll be some fizz and probably cake on the afternoon of Saturday 12th September. Further details will be given closer to the time so follow along if you don't want to miss them.

The major set back - red stained water pouring through the roof - but, thankfully, the showroom now has a spanking new roof with insulation that'll help the place breathe. It could have been so much worse if I'd started moving fabric in. The process involved lifting the whole roof, sending debris down into the showroom, and a few rainy weeks halted progress but I hadn't moved in any fabric so there was a lot of relief!
It looked like I was a roofing supplier for a bit!
Lots of projects are also going on. The juggle is real.
If I'd have known how long it would take to make an Ikea piece of furniture not look like an Ikea piece of furniture, I might have asked a joiner to build me something. 🤔

Pretty interlined Roman blind with 2cm intervals between the folds and side returns covering the end caps.

So many boxes to move across from@my back garden workroom to the new space.
Bailey, the Springerdor, eats things he shouldn't and I can't always keep my eye on him. He's the latest little hiccup in progress - I couldn't leave him on his own in case his recovery didn't go well. Luckily, he's fine. He's a dog with 9 lives!
