We all love a before & after!
(We moved the bed to the opposite wall).

A calm primary bedroom using neutral tones and lots of texture. Love this lime wash on the walls and beautiful oak reeded bedsides. Simple and timeless.

From a rather uninspiring dining space to a warm, inviting room full of texture and character.

Layered lighting, natural materials, soft furnishings and a warmer colour palette have completely transformed the feel of this space.

Spacial planning and furniture refresh project completed for this beautiful office waiting area overlooking St James’s Park.

A shared boys’ bedroom with a subtle varsity feel.

I wanted this room to feel playful and full of personality, but with a scheme that wouldn’t date as the boys get older. The deep blue textured walls and ticking-stripe headboards create a classic base, layered with antique brass, warm rust tones and little pops of leather.

I’ve always loved that slightly preppy, old-school Ralph Lauren aesthetic, so I brought in subtle references throughout like the collegiate style prints, vintage sports rackets and cricket bats (on the opposite wall) and the trunk style bedside table.

It gives the room that nostalgic, lived-in feel I love without tipping into an overly themed ‘sports bedroom’.

Classic, a little preppy and still unmistakably theirs.

I designed this kitchen myself using the DIY Kitchens online planner. Such an enjoyable process.

A restrained palette doesn’t have to mean a flat one.

Here, the interest comes through layering materials and finishes rather than adding more colour — warm painted cabinetry, aged brass, natural timber, pale stone and handmade ceramics all bring their own variation in tone and texture.

I particularly love the long timber shelf. It breaks up the run of cabinetry, adds warmth at eye level and gives space for the more informal, collected pieces that stop a kitchen feeling too ‘finished’.

A soft, tonal scheme, but with enough contrast and texture to give it depth.

Completed nursery using the delicate ‘Uppark’ wallpaper by Farrow & Ball alongside Calamine, which has a soft grey undertone to keep the scheme feeling calm & understated.

For the blind, I chose one of my all time favourite William Morris prints ‘Marigold’, in a soft green to bring a gentle contrast and another layer of pattern to the room.

Can’t wait to see this beautiful antique mirror up as well as the beaded chandelier on order which will echo the soft, rounded forms used throughout this scheme.
