MOODBOARD MONDAY
The sun is shining and I can see some blue sky!!! It reminds me of a calm, scandi scheme with accents of warm blue and natural oak I presented a little while ago. Cool, calm and collected.

MOODBOARD MONDAY
I’ve recently had my colours done (thanks to ) and it turns out I’m a soft summer. Think dirty blues, blush pinks and natural taupes and greys.
Funnily enough they are colours I’ve been drawn to for interiors for a long time and reminded me of this soft, calm Master Bedroom design with similar tones; calming pink walls and petrol grey blues, white washed oak and stunning feature fabrics (the one showing is Pimpernel in Blush) but we also added Strawberry Thief cushions too!

MOODBOARD (Blue) MONDAY
So apparently it’s Blue Monday today… the most depressing day of the year!!! I’m going to act in the opposite spirit and do something today that makes me smile!
Which reminds me it’s Moodboard Monday and here’s a cocooning deep blue bedroom I designed for a client! I do love to encourage my clients to embraced bold colours and just go for it - bring on the colour drench!

HAPPY NEW YEAR
Back in the office today after a fab break off with the family.

MOODBOARD MONDAY
Yes you can mix metals and my tree will have them all!!! I use lots of wreaths and greenery and then I add baubles in various shades of metallic, scale and finish; polished, satin and matt!

My Interior Design works brings such different clients - this one being a small independent coffee shop in Nottingham. They wanted the space to feel bright and light and fun! I added colour and texture and plants of course!

MOODBOARD MONDAY
Last week my friend asked my advice on a floor lamp for her room. Thing is I couldn’t just choose one, I had to think about the room as a whole… (which is a bit of a blank canvas atm and yet to be completed).
Questions that go through my mind include;
What style is the room?
What colours would work in there?
What materials are in the rest of the room and house?

She had also just had a small footstool upholstered in a fabric found at her parent’s house and I ended up creating a whole moodboard based on this. It helped me form the design for the rest of the room, which then assisted in a floor lamp choice for her.

The lesson being, don’t think of items in your interior in isolation, think about a space as a whole and the design thread.
