Our pottery is still attracting visitors to our site. Recently I have published a book called "War Baby a Dyslexic life". It describes growing up in East Suss*x during the war, being evacuated to a remote mountain area of South Wales and then being blown off a hayrick by an exploding flying bomb. The book also deals with attitudes towards class, s*x, and race in the post-war era. An underlying theme of the book is my struggle to over come dyslexia (a condition not understood at the time) with the help of my very loving extended family. Eventually, after a period working in industry, and for the Workers Educational Association, I enter a life long career teaching Sociology and Politics in Schools and Further Education Colleges. The book is out on Amazon. £2.99 as a kindle and £8.99 as a paperback. In the 1970`s Lisbeth and I attended evening classes in pottery at the St Albans College of Art and Design.
