It is with great sadness we announce the closing of the shop on Saturday 31st December as we have lost our premises due to circumstances completely out of our control.

I should like to thank our 30+ local artists and makers for supporting and creating a wonderful space with their creativity, talent and integrity. Out of the Blue would have literally been nothing without you.

Huge thanks to everyone who has visited and bought from the shop both in person and remotely. It has been lovely to meet you all and talk about all the items you have bought, you have made this a very successful venture over the last 18 months.

We are open on Friday 23rd December for those last minute Christmas purchases and will be open between Christmas and New Year for our last week.

Grateful thanks to my friends and family who support me in everything I do.

A little Christmas sparkle in the window ready for the switch on of Mevagissey Christmas lights this evening, we’ll be open until 6.30pm today.

Tomorrow is the start of Cornish Winter Fair - which is essentially a winter version of the Royal Cornwall Show condensed down into one amazing weekend (with a lot less walking too - it's based solely in the 2 large cattle sheds).
FREE ENTRY! And as it's under a roof it won't matter if it's raining outside! Well worth the trip to come and see the livestock, crafts, food & drink and more. The livestock will only be there on the Saturday, but the Winter Market is there again on Sunday. So maybe plan your trip according to what you would most like to see.
10am - 5pm both days.

This lovely print from Dawn Wills is the perfect backdrop for Louise’s organic cotton tea towels, Cali’s reusable fabric bottle bags, a gift in themselves, Alex’s beeswax candles, tree decorations in glass from Anne, ceramic from Stephanie, textiles from Chris, and wood from Jim. Opening hours are 11am-4pm Weds Sat.

Lovely to meet Carolyn Tyrer in person last week when called in to the gallery. Covid restrictions meant that this was the first time she could make the trip to Mevagissey since we opened last year. More of her original paintings and prints will be with us soon.
