When a blacksmith cares about finishing his tools as much as he does for the forging, great tools become pieces of art just as much as the items they will help to create! Keisaburo, in my opinion, forges some of the best looking kannas I have the honour of using, own and sell. His tools are hardly ever stocked by any shop, but anyone can order a very bespoke plane, made to your specs, a truly one off piece, unique to yourself. These tools are not mystical creatures of some sort, they are tools, tools made to be used, loved, cared for and enjoyed and yes you too can have one, wherever you live, as long as you have the budget for them just like any other tool! This one has a dai made by Koyoshiya with a steeper bed for very difficult grain. The steel used for the blade is Togo Reigou, one of the toughest carbon steel. I just love it❤️... don't you?
