A little update about Saturday Stitch Sessions. 🧵

I’ve made the difficult decision to pause my Saturday sessions for a while. A drop in my enthusiasm for running them has unsurprisingly been matched by a drop in numbers.

The last few months have been quite challenging and revelatory for me socially. Right now, I don't feel very "peopley" or up for being a smiley host whilst I try to find the answers to all the frustrating “but why’s” I find myself asking on repeat! 🤷‍♀️

I am so incredibly sorry if you were planning to join us. I truly hate letting anyone down, especially my little gang of lovely regular attendees but I need to step away for a while!

I will update everyone with new dates for future sessions just as soon as I am ready to welcome you with all the happiness and warmth again.

Who knew circular photo frames were a thing?! 🤷‍♀️

I couldn’t quite find the right square frame and mount to finish my Spring Kit. I needed it to perfectly match the rest of my gallery wall. After a little mooch on Amazon, et voilà! 😍

This is a 9-inch round frame if you want to find something similar. I think it looks pretty good!

We are experiencing all the seasons down here lately and I’m not quite sure where the warm one went? Today is finally looking a little brighter and hopefully making way for some beach stitching sunshine next week! 🤞

It has been a steadily busy day at the St Austell studio/shop today. The gusty winds have meant that sometimes this week have had to latch the door (to stop it blowing wide open every two minutes !) Please just ring the bell or pull faces at me through the glass until I notice you!

I always seem to forget how much foot traffic increases in the summer and to factor all the chatting into my timetable but It is so lovely to see the returning, smiley faces who are happy to be back. Thanks for dropping by..

I decided to empty out my Bisley cabinet drawers , complete with full sets of DMC and Anchor threads (plus a little Kreinik) and lay them out end to end on the tables.

Why ? Mainly because I get my Saturday kicks a bit differently in my late forties, and a girl has to get her serotonin from somewhere! 🤷‍♀️

Does looking at a thread stash make you happy too, or is it just me?

Back in Kernow and for the first time this year the studio door is officially wedged OPEN! ☀️

I have lots of work to catch up on here at the Studio/Shop (and two suitcases of laundry waiting at home) but the Duchy is turning ON the sunshine today and making me want to be outside…Clearly, the recent gorgeous weather wasn’t just a tropical quirk of the beautiful Isle of Wight.

If you need a break from the beach, pop into the studio and say hello! The shop is now open as usual for the next few months until 4pm Saturdays , weekdays until 2pm. Otherwise, enjoy every second of this gorgeous sunshine.

Everything is also now back to normal for online shoppers as all web stores are officially reopened. Packing and shipping starts today...
